LaundryTill LaundryTill

Privacy policy

Last updated 14 September 2026. This policy explains what Q8Digital holds when a business uses LaundryTill, why, for how long, and who can see it.

What we hold about a shop

When a shop signs up we keep the shop's name, its country, the owner's name, telephone number and email, and the package chosen. When the shop is set up we keep its address on laundrytill.com, its licence dates and every invoice, and a log of what our operators did to the account (provisioned, suspended, renewed) with the date and the operator's name. We keep this for as long as the shop is a customer and for seven years afterwards for accounting.

What a shop holds about its customers

A shop enters its own customers' names, telephone numbers, addresses and orders, and may photograph garments. That data belongs to the shop and the shop is responsible for it. We hold it only to run the software for the shop: it lives in the shop's own separate database, no other shop can see it, our operators open it only to support the shop or to keep the service running, and we never use it for our own purposes, sell it, or share it with anyone else. A shop's customer who wants to know what a shop holds about them should ask the shop.

Where it lives and how it is protected

Our servers are in Germany, run by Hetzner Online GmbH under European data-protection law. Every shop's database is backed up every night, kept on the server for fourteen days and copied to a separate storage server every half hour, where copies are kept for ninety days. Connections are encrypted (TLS). Staff sign in with a password; the sign-in is limited against guessing; every screen a shop opens is private to it.

Messages

Where a shop switches on WhatsApp messages, its customers' telephone numbers and the text of each message pass through Meta's WhatsApp Business platform under Meta's own terms. A shop is responsible for having its customers' consent.

Cookies

laundrytill.com sets one cookie to remember your language. The application sets a session cookie so that a signed-in member of staff stays signed in, and only for that shop's address. We use no advertising cookies. If a shop's owner switches on visitor statistics on the sales page, those are the analytics provider's cookies under its own policy.

When a shop leaves

When a shop closes its account, or its trial or licence lapses, its database is kept for thirty days so the owner can still download it, then deleted. Backups age out within ninety days after that. Invoices and the account log are kept for accounting as above.

Your rights

A shop may see, correct, download or delete what we hold about it by writing to us. We answer within thirty days. If you think we have got something wrong, tell us first; you may also complain to the data-protection authority of your country.
